Visiting a church for the first time can be awkward. we hope the awkwardness disappears quickly. At Valley Christian Church, you’ll be welcomed into a friendly, casual environment by people who are excited to see you. We want you to have an idea of what to expect when you arrive at  Valley Christian Church.

What should I wear?

We hope you will feel comfortable here, no matter what you wear. Some people wear suits or dresses; others come in casual slacks, jeans, or shorts. Whatever you wear, you will be welcome here.

Will everyone know I’m a visitor?

We are a small congregation. The members all know each other and will recognize and welcome a newcomer. Either way, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself or ask questions. Everyone will be glad you’re here.

Is there a nursery for my children?

During the worship service, we provide a safe, supervised place for infants and children through age 4. We also provide children’s service from 0-5th Grade.

Will I feel uncomfortable attending alone?

Not at all, many of our members come to church by themselves each week.

Do I need to make a financial offering?

No. we do not pass the offering plate and we do not expect our guests to make an offering. For us, the offering is our way of saying thank you to God for the many blessings we have received from God. We understand giving to be a spiritual act of dedicating what we have, and who we are, to serve God.  We invite people who would like  to offer their spiritual gifts, or whatever gift they feel moved to offer in the contribution box located at the back of the sanctuary.

How long is the worship service?

Our pastor leads the service and usually preaches between 40 and 45 minutes

Music
